While in Orlando last week, I had a terrific opportunity to visit with CREW Orlando leaders. It’s no secret that CREW Network will be celebrating our 30th anniversary in 2019. And what better place to celebrate than Orlando where the magic happens!
I’m delighted that many of the chapter’s past presidents have agreed to serve on the local arrangements committee to help us find just the right learning excursions and dine at the best places in town. Not only that, but they will bring the extra magic to our annual convention and anniversary celebration as they partner with us to elevate the convention to new heights.

I also had the opportunity to present during CREW Orlando's monthly luncheon the following day. It was a fantastic turn out for the event and I appreciated being able to meet so many members. The lunch setting was at the Citrus Club on the 18th Floor of the BB&T building in downtown Orlando. As I enjoyed the 180-degree views, I couldn’t believe how many cranes were visible from all angles. I commented on this to one of the attendees and she remarked dryly, “Didn’t you know, the crane is the state bird of Florida.” Her humor brought a smile to my face and the realization that Orlando continues to be a booming market for not only entertainment, but business, multifamily, retail and industrial.
