We’ve all heard the saying “Rome was not built in a day.” The same goes for CREW Chicago, which has committed 30 years to building membership, programs and a business network of women leaders in the Chicago market that is connected to a global market through CREW Network.
I was honored to celebrate the chapter's 30th anniversary with them last Thursday. These milestones are significant to our organization as well as to the industry. Thirty years ago, CREW Chicago would not have been able to fill a room with 300 commercial real estate women. According to founding member Marilyn Lissner, executive director, Cushman & Wakefield, when they were organizing the chapter, she could only find seven women to form the group! Today, CREW Chicago is 332 strong. Today, our industry is 332 times stronger in the Chicago market because of this chapter.

CREW Chicago past presidents gathered for a photo during the celebration, with current president Mary Fuller and CREW Network CEO Wendy Mann, CAE.
And with that strength comes many hands. Many hands have contributed to the success of the chapter. Past presidents of the chapter traveled from near and far to join in the celebration and to honor both past leaders and current volunteers whose many hands will help the chapter continue to flourish and grow.

Chapter members toasted 30 years of CREW Chicago.
Hats off to chapter president Mary Fuller, the entire board and the volunteer committee who organized the event. It was a very special celebration of 30 on the 30th. And in true CREW fashion, the chapter even arranged for a beautiful winter evening in Chicago! You can’t beat that!
