CREW Network leadership met with aspiring women professionals to respond to questions and provide insights about CRE careers.
The CREW Network energy permeated ICSC RECon this week in Las Vegas! Our cabana at the Opening Reception became a central gathering point for CREW Network members where we made new friends and renewed old friendships. I was delighted to meet many members from across North America and see the Network working as connections were made. It was great to see both men and women join us to discuss CREW Network and our work.

We also held a small-group mentoring session with several college students, which was a great opportunity to respond to their specific questions, provide real work-life insights and encourage their continued pursuit of a commercial real estate career. It was such a pleasure to meet bright and committed young women. Our industry will be fortunate to have these future leaders.

The CREW Network booth in Central Hall was at capacity on Monday and Tuesday as members took advantage of the opportunity to book appointments in our space. Many members stopped by to say hello, meet other members and connect with our team. I’m so proud of this terrific member benefit we provide at RECon — our members truly value it, and we see the Network working.
Our member reception was packed full of industry leaders sharing drinks and making connections. It was a terrific way to end our first day in Central Hall. And thanks to our terrific staff team of Laura Lewis and Megan Cottrell, who served as hosts extraordinaire!
The Diversity Reception was a terrific opportunity to connect with industry leaders interested in working collaboratively to increase diversity and inclusion in the industry. I discussed our joint commitment to gender parity and equality with ICSC staff, and we look forward to working with them moving forward. It was heartening to hear outgoing ICSC Chairman Liz Holland speak so eloquently about the need for gender parity invoking her daughters and sharing that this is an industry imperative.
ICSC, in conjunction with CREW Network, hosted Tuesday luncheon keynote speaker Barbara Corcoran, who delighted us with her stories and perspectives. She’s a great entertainer and fun storyteller.

Thanks to CREW Network leaders Alison and Tara for representing our organization so wonderfully this week in Las Vegas. And speaking of Las Vegas … It was my great pleasure to meet CREW-Las Vegas President Leslie Becker and President-Elect Natalie Wainwright. They bring talent and enthusiasm to this growing chapter. While they say that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, I’m happy to share with you all these great moments from our time here at RECon. We look forward to next year!
